Sam chuckled "I only use revenge when needed, I plan on finding out what happened to my parents and then seeking revenge. I lost three family members in that fire and I lost all my family other than Caroline and her mother" Sam sighed and looked at Katherine "Okay Ill just say we are the same age" Sam chuckled softly.

Sam looked at her plate of food and took a bite "it's nice, how does yours taste?" Sam said smiling softly at Katherine "You know I have never liked any male before, I was always picky and never ready to settle into a relationship" Sam said softly "But if I tell Tyler who I am and he likes me back I will give a relationship a go with him" Sam smiled softly, she really did like Tyler.

Katherine shrugged. "If it was meant to be, it was meant to be." She picked up a chip and popped in in her mouth chewing. "Tastes good, but some tomato sauce would make it taste a whole lot better." Katherine laughed, picking up the bottle that was sitting on the table and squirted a large amount of sauce onto her chips before digging in.

Katherine paused for a minute, pretending to think and popped a chip slowly into her mouth. "As for Tyler, as much as he isn't the type of guy I would go for, if you feel it is definitely what you want, let Tyler get to know the real you, instead of Caroline. I see now that all those years I spent convincing Stefan that I was the good girl,I could have let him know the real me and maybe he would be mine instead of fighting for Elena. We all make mistakes, just don't make mine."

Sam nodded as she picked up her fork and poked it into her own fries "I will show him the real me, I wont make any mistakes" Sam took a bite of the fries and took a sip of her water "After I show Tyler I am not Caroline I will be myself to the whole town" Sam smiled softly.

Sam looked around and then at the window of the restaurant and watched people walk past "I haven't settled down anywhere for a long time, after my parent's died I never stayed in a place for longer than three months, but something about this place... I might stay permanently... something about it screams home for me" Sam said softly taking a sip of her water and looking back at Katherine and sighing softly.

Katherine nodded in understanding. There was something about this place that just made everyone feel compelled to settle down here. It was as if all the supernatural elements in the world had gathered in one place. Almost as if they were drawn to be together. It was a feeling Katherine had had even all those years ago the very first time she met Stefan and Damon, the first time she traveled to Mystic Falls.

Katherine chewed thoughtfully on a chip as she thought about how she was going to word what she wanted to say next. Katherine hated feeling weak and even something as simple as what she was thinking of made her sound weak. Katherine shook her head. She had to get over Stefan, he was never going to wanted her. It was always going to be Elena, she was just to naive to have seen that before now. The only way she would get Stefan back was if Elena left the picture. Permanently.

Katherine could see it all in her head. That satisfying crack as she forced the stake straight through her ribs and into her heart. She was merciful enough that she wouldn't make Elena suffer, much. She never said anything about not having fun with the girl. A small smirk appeared on Katherine's face as she dug into her quickly melting ice cream with less enthusiasm than when she had first ordered it. If she was human that meant she had to actually start acting like a girl and watching her weight. Oh how she missed her high metabolism, well not that she had ever used it before, but all vampires knew it came in handy, especially if you preferred a sweeter tasting blood like that found in Italy or Brazil. "You want some of this?" Katherine asked Sam, gesturing to the ice cream that sat deliciously uneaten in front of her.

Sam shook her head "No thanks, Ice cream isn't really my thing" Sam chuckled "Neither has chocolate really, I eat it now and again but Chocolate and Ice cream hasn't been my thing, I am not really that into fatty things" Sam chuckled softly as she heard her mums voice in the back of her head telling her to be a normal child for once and live a little.

Sam looked at Katherine and smiled "I have enrolled myself into high school, It's weird how I decided to go back to school after me leaving my last school" Sam chuckled and pushed her half full plate away from her and sipping her water " I left school after my parent's died and I also left the town I lived in as it brought to many bad memories" Sam said softly.

Katherine gave Sam a small reassuring smile that told her she could sympathise. "But the thing is you can only run from your past for so long. Until eventually BOOM! It hits you square in the face. I might enroll back at somepoint, you oboe, for the laughter,show the teachers what their lives have been missing. Plus I want to get my hands on some attractive man meat if I can. You know what they say, high school boys as inexperienced in life as they are are ALWAYS the best." Katherine raised here eyebrows suggestively, licking her lips as her signature wicked glint appeared in her eyes. Katherine loved having some man she could fool around with. Especially the ones that thought they were players. She smiled. They were the players, they were able to play the game alright, but Katherine was the coach and she always showed them how it was played.

Katherine gave Sam a detailed look over and saw slightly different things in Sam that allowed her to differentiate between her and Caroline. To anyone as inexperienced , unlike her they wouldn't have noticed the fact that while Caroline's blue eyes were always friendly and open, Sam's cold reserved eyes made the startling blue look even darker than usual, but there was only the smallest difference between to two. Katherine kept this note in her head if she was ever in the situation of having the two closer together, but she knew that she wouldn't be able to focus to tell them apart. Stupid doppelgänger's they made her already challenging life even more confusing.

Katherine's confusion was made worse by the fact that in a mere twenty minutes she had gone from being able to think about anything and everything to it being a struggle just to think about something as basic as whether or not she should have the soup or pasta for tea. "How do you do it?!" Katherine groaned in frustration, she placed her head angrily in her hands. "This whole human thing, its so difficult, even the small things make ne feel like a fraud. For one I never, never ever had to watch ky feet when I walked and now?" Katherine sighed exasperatedly. "Its like I have to babysit my feet full time to stop then from causing me to kiss the curb. I hate it I have never felt so unbalanced and useless in my entire life, even when I was human the last time!"

Sam chuckled softly "I don't know what it's like to be human either..." Sam said rubbing the back of her neck softly as she bit her lip softly "You see.... I am a witch" Sam said softly as she looked at Katherine and give her a half smile "Yeah that's something I've hid from you for a while.... sorry about that" Sam said awkwardly chuckling.

Sam looked at Katherine "You only knew about my parents being witches... they and I told you a lie saying I didn't inherit the family gene and well" Sam put her hand over he glass and made the water come out of it in little bubbles "I am actually.. the most powerful that ever lived in my family.. my parents learnt the hard way.... I got angry one day and caused a thunder storm and ended up striking my tree house with lightning" Sam chuckled softly "I have like... all my families powers in one and including mine but that stays between us... I told no one, the last people who knew were my parents and grandmother who were training me to control it. Caroline and her mother and so on didn't catch the gene like my half of the family." Sam said softly.

Katherine jumped to her feet in anger and desperation. She had thought she had finally met someone that could teach her to be human, only to find that that person had never been HUMAN! "Great, am I the only useless person around her that doesn't suck blood anymore, or changes a a full moon or destroys childhood memories?!" Katherine asked, throwing her hands in the air in anger. It just wasn't fair! Elena took the love of her life and then her mortality and what had she ever done to Elena? Nothing! Well nothing that the little bitch didn't deserve.

Katherine sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose in an attempt to calm herself down. Well at least she didn't have the issue of causing a hurricane to worry about. She would just die all alone because when she was 70 and in nappies everyone else would still be either smoking hot or still looking younger than their parents. It just wasn't fair! Everything was so messed up!

Katherine began pacing, glaring sharply at the woman across from then who was staring at her intently. The woman blushed and ducked her head in embarrassment. Mumbling that she hates eavesdropper's, Katherine turned on her heels and stopped in front of Sam. "You knew what I used to be, why did you lie? I feel as though I barely know you anymore?" Katherine shook her head sadly. Everyone was unique,everyone had a loved one. Everyone had a reason for waking up each day except for her. She had nothing, no one, no reason. Sue was human, it would be so easy to make everything easier for everyone. Bug that's what Elena wanted, for Katherine to let her humanity get to her, to end it herself. Bur Katherine knew the only ending she would ever have was the one where Elena's dead remains lay unmoving or respiring at her feet. That was the only thing that mattered for her. For the time being, ending Elena Gilbert was Katherine's reason for living. Even if it cost Katherine her life..

Sam put a hand on Katherine's arm "I am sorry... I know how to be human though.. I have lived like a human my whole life despite the whole magic thing... just calm down and I'll show you.. I never asked to be what I am, I know I have lost a bit of your trust but I swear what ever you ask me from now on I will be truthful" Sam said softly.

Sam took a deep breath as her heart was raising and she needed to calm down before anything bad would happen, Sam looked down at her lap breathing hard trying to keep cool, if anything got bad this would be the first time dealing with it on her own since her mother or her bestfriend wasn't there, Sam bit her lip softly after calming down "Just don't yell at me.. I don't like getting yelled at.. I can't control myself when someone shouts at me" Sam looked up to face Katherine and pushed some of her own hair out her own face.

Katherine snarled at her. "Well try not to lie at me and I wont shout." Katherine spay, before sighing and looking at Sam with apologetic eyes. "Look I'm sorry its just a lot to take in about someone you thought you knew." Katherine apologised.

Katherine stopped pacing, dropping back into her seat with a sigh. "Just start from the beginning"

Sam looked at her and nodded "I am also sorry... I should of told you what I was a long time ago, my parents wanted to keep it a secret that's all" Sam said softly as she looked at Katherine and sighed softly "I just need you to be calmer with me, no shouting please" Sam said softly.

Sam looked at her "What do you want to know? Ill start with the things you want to know first and then after that I will start from the start, like baby steps" Sam said smiling softly "Oh and don't forget to breath now and again, being a vampire you don't do it as much as you need to as a human" Sam said softly.

katherine smiled at Sam. "Its okay, I can totally understand. It just hurts that you didn't tell me." Katherine sighed, placing her head in her hands. Katherine didn't even know where to even begin, her whole life had been turned upside down. How the hell was she supposed to move on when her life was completely different from what she had learned to be. Katherine had to make amends with someone of she expected her life to carry on without fault, and well, her death. That was something she wouldn't give up even if she only had the next fifty or so years to live.

There was one person she wanted to start with and she hoped that Sam would be able to help her. She wasn't willing to put what Elena had done in the past, in fact far from it. But hopefully if she could get at least one person of the supernatural race to side with her, that might just stop that blood sucking bitch from feasting and draining her dry. Well to at least protect her so that she could get rid of Elena and Damon too. That vampire had reached his limit a long time ago and it was about time she put the world out of their misery. The sooner he was burning ashes under the summer sun along with that good for nothing whore, the sooner she had Stefan all to herself, she just had to find somewhere to begin. "Look," Katherine began, she felt weird and horrible, being well, nice to people was just so not her, what the hell was this humanity doing to her?! "I know that if I want to keep living her in Mystic falls, I have to start making amends with some of the people I have wronged, once you have sorted everything with Tyler out, do you think you can convince him to at least listen to me, and hopefully once I have apologised to him, that will be one less enemy and one more friend. I think of you like my sister Sam, and if Tyler is what you want, I don't want to ruin everything for you by having him hate me, and now that I am human, its about time I start acting like it."

Sam smiled and nodded "Thank you, I consider you is a sister also... although I have never had siblings. My parents only wanted one child" Sam chuckled softly before looking over at katherine and smiles softly "Lets continue to shop?" Sam says before standing up and pushing her chair in.

Sam looked over at Katherine "I really do want Tyler.. I just don't know how I will get him" Sam said smiling softly at Katherine. Sam looked around as she opened the door and walked out holding the door open for Katherine to come out, when she did she started to walk slowly beside Katherine to the next shop.

Katherine smiled wickedly at Sam. "Where there is a will, there is a way. Being alive for five hundred and odd years taught me that much." Katherine winked at Sam. She was looking forward to helping Sam with this, it had been a while since she had gotten involved in any harmless scheming at it was about time she found some miracle way to liven up her monotonous human life. God, she had no idea how she had managed to live human before, it was life you never done anything interesting. At all. Period. It was that bad that talking to Sam was as interesting as her life had gotten since the transformation.

She sighed as she thought of the unfortunate circumstances she was in. She had gotten so accustomed to being able to throw a truck three meters with one hand to having to use the traffic lights so she didn't literally become road kill. Katherine screwed her face up at the thought of all the blood. It was strange, before she was human Katherine had lived off blood, now....even something as simple as thinking about it made her want to gag and throw her lunch back up.
