Katherine was beyond annoyed, Elena had gave her the cure and Katherine was human. Elena didn't even stay there for her to wake up she just got up and left, the last thing Katherine hearing being "Have a nice human life Katherine" before the whole transformation from Vampire to Human happening, Katherine needed some time to cool of so why not go shopping? one of the things Katherine always Enjoyed.

Katherine walked into the store and picked up a few items before trying them on to see if they were nice or not, after paying for them she left the store and went to get a coffee, something she didn't do much as a vampire but she thought if she had to be human she was going to atleast do human things, Katherine sighed and brought out her phone as she looked through her contacts "Nope" she said as she scrolled "Hates me" "Doesn;t like me" "want's to kill me" she sighed and slipped her phone in her pocket, no one on her phone would like her.

Katherine stopped in her tracks as she watched a female walk hand in hand with her daughter, that broke Katherine's heart as she had her daughter taken from her thanks to her father saying it would be better if they had not been together, Katherine sighed thinking about her daughter, wondering if she was turned into a vampire or if she was dead like the rest of her family, Katherine often wondered what life would be like if she had her daughter around, often wondered how her only child grew up to be like and wondered how their relationship would be like if they both had stayed with one another.

Katherine sighed and kept walking down the road as she stopped when she saw familiar faces, she walked over to the person she wanted to talk to and smirked as she tapped them on the shoulder "Miss me?" she said with a playful tone in her voice, Katherine was going to either be civilised to the person or taunt them, she had not decided yet.

Sam was shopping in Mystic Falls as she was going to stick to playing as Caroline, she was sipping on her coffee when she felt a tap on her shoulder, turning around noticing the voice she smirked knowing it was Katherine "Oh hey Elena, what's up?" Sam said putting Caroline's sweet smile on, Sam loved playing herself of as Caroline, she had got to know what her friends were like in the process.

Sam looked around before looking back at Katherine "How's Jer?" she asked smiling, Sam loved to push peoples buttons as she didn't really care for others, Katherine and Sam had met a while back after Sam's parent's had died, Katherine had came to Sam to look for her parents but by then Sam's parents had died so Sam had to help instead, Sam had heard about Katherine getting turned into human and that made Sam laugh as she never thought that day would come for Katherine.

The sweet smile Katherine had on her face quickly became a look of arrogance. How stupid did Sam really think she was, and especially after all this time. Katherine looked deep into her eyes, trying to ignore the way Sam's hair was glinting in the warm daylight. "Okay, cut the crap Samantha,we both know I'm not Elena and your trying far too hard to be Caroline." Katherine spat at Sam.

Katherine looked judgementally over Sam's choice in clothing, knowing after all this time that what she was wearing was not the type of thing fashion concious and sweet Caroline would wear. At least when she tried to be Elena, she had the sense to see what Elena was wearing in advance, that's after all how she had convinced Damon she was Elena when she first arrived back in Mystic Falls.

Sam smirked and chuckled "Okay you got me Katherine" Sam looked down at her clothes and chuckled "It was the clothes that was the give away wasn't it? if so why do you think I am at the shops" Sam chuckled and looked at Katherine "So I heard you turned human..... ouch" Sam smirked and looked around.

Sam looked in the shop window and laughed "This is something that Caroline would wear, god she is such a perky person, its quite irritating how she is always happy and always wants to help people. I have to give her credit she has a hot boyfriend" Sam smirks "I might take that man, I really like him" Sam said honestly, Sam never really had and interest in men but Tyler was different, there was something about him that made Sam want to look after him, something that Sam never did.

Katherine nodded in understanding, after all she knew exactly what it was like to want someone you knew you shouldn't want. Katherine's thoughts drifted to the guy with the hard jaw line, the dark hair and the greeny-blue eyes. Stefan. She automatically cringed with the feeling of rejection and pain as Katherine knew that deep down she could never have Stefan because he hated her. She had made mistakes and Katherine had to pay the price for it now.

Katherine managed to give Sam a small smile as she looked into the window of the shop that held a black floral summer dress and pursed her lips. "Try getting it in black, its more the type of thing Caroline would wear. And as for Tyler, God only knows what you see in that hybrid, but if you want him go for it, but remember the longer you play the game, the harder life becomes." Katherine gestures down at her fragile human body. "Just look at me." Katherine chuckled.

Sam looked at the dress and nodded "Got it" Sam sighed at what Katherine had to say "I really do like him... I have never liked anyone like I like him before" Sam said softly "I see a lot of things in that boy that most over look, so what he is a hybrid but after all you can't talk you liked a hybrid before" Sam said mentioning Klaus.

Sam sighed and looked at Katherine "I know, I will stop playing the game soon.. it's just I want to know what the town is like before I actually be myself, you know how hard it is to be yourself no a days? people want you to be perfect and if not then your not good enough for them and its absolutely horrible. Tyler is perfect and if he knew the real me he might not like it, I mean Caroline is nothing but Perky and full of positives and then there is me who lost her family and doesn't care for many people" Sam sighs softly as she looks at the ground.

Katherine didn't like the vulnerable side of Sam she was seeing. If people were vulnerable then they showed emotions and Katherine was brought up in a time where it was in the life styles of the most fortunate to help the leas fortunate. Katherine couldn't help but flinch at the sound of Klaus' name, but ignored it placing a reassuring hand on Sam's shoulder. "If you want him, go for it. Don't make my mistake and wait until its too late. Tell Tyler the truth. I can see that he is your version of the way I see Stefan. I love him and I wished so much that I had realised that sooner."

Katherine felt something then she hadn't felt in centuries. She felt humanity. Like the part of herself Katherine had lost through all the years of blood thirst and murder had taken away the centre of Katherine's soul, the core of Katherine's existence. She was able to look at a situation and see it as if Katherine were a normal high school girl..... And she hated it. Being nice was just so not her. If Katherine was nice Katherine trusted people, and when Katherine trusted people Katherine got hurt, that was just the way Katherine's life had always been. And now she had grown so accustom to her change of personality that Katherine was np longer the sweet innocent girl Elena was. And she was glad. Eventually all the sweetness was bound to make Katherine sick eventually.

Sam sighed and looked up at Katherine "Thank you... It means a lot, I will tell Tyler" Sam said softly "Lets go and buy some Caroline clothes and some of my own" Sam smiled and chuckled softly as she opened the shop door for Katherine to walk in, after both walking in the store Sam smiled at the different types of clothing.

Sam picked up a red dress "What you think? Caroline would wear this right?" Sam picked up the same dress but in blue "I like this one and well we are two different people right? so we both like different things, she likes to help people and I like to help the people I care about" Sam said softly as she kept looking at the clothing.

Katherine laughed, it was high pitched and for once it wasn't cold. She forgot how much she had missed Sam. "You know, I think we could have a new friendship forming here, help those who we like and cause destruction for the rest. Ha! Elena better watch her heart before I accidentally trip up with a stake in my hand. I cant believe that girl made me human! Human!" Katherine growled in frustration, picking up a designer leather jacket. Katherine looked at it carefully still unsure if she liked it. "What do you think, my other one is ruined. I still cant get John's blood out of it." Katherine pouted, she had grown fond of that jacket, but Katherine wouldn't have that problem since obviously she wouldn't be killing any more human's now.... Well she didn't plan to, when someone pissed her off she couldn't be held responsible for her actions.

Katherine looked around the shop with her eyes,but held the jacket up for Sam to judge. It was good to finally have someone to go shopping with, shopping on her own got depressing very quickly. Katherine caught sight of a pair of blood red heels. Even as a human blood had always been her colour of choice. It was evil and emphasised the evil in herself as well. She smirked at the memory.

Sam laughed and looked at Katherine "Yeah there might be a friendship here" she said with a smile on her face, Sam decided on buying both dresses and putting them in the shopping basket, she looked up at Katherine and smiled picking up a leather jacket in her own size "I like them, I think we should both buy one" Sam said chuckling.

Sam looked around and saw Katherine picking up the blood red heels, she chuckled as she knew it was Katherine's favourite colour, Sam picked up a few pair of shoes that she liked and and few pairs that would Caroline wear, Sam chuckled at Katherine "You know its weird, me and Caroline are the same size in everything, we have the same appearance and everything and yet we are two different people" Sam chuckled softly and kept looking around.

Katherine rolled her eyes. "Tell me about it, Elena is all kind hearted and nice and I'm the psychotic bitch in this town, but what can you do. I'd hate to be her and we all know she'd hate to be me. I look at it this way. Like Stefan and Damon. Its obvious I'm as evil, manipulative and murderous as Damon,but somehow I fell for Stefan. There isn't actually a logical way to look at the doppelgänger other than its everything you are physically but everything your not personality." Katherine said, walking over to a cute blue dress that was similar to Sam's.
Katherine thought a lot about the whole doppelgänger thing. If she was Elena's doppelgänger, did that mean there was a doppelgänger for her too and if so who was she and was she half Elena's personality, half Katherine's. She shook her head, telling herself that she couldn't confuse herself any more if she expected to keep her sanity. Well what was left of it anyway. "How about we pay for this and go out for lunch, my treat?" Katherine asked with a warm smile.

Sam smiled at Katherine and nodded as they walked to the tills and paid, Sam and Katherine walked into the little restaurant in the corner, Sam put her bags on the floor and opened up the menu, she ordered her food and when Katherine finished ordering she smiled and looked at her "So how has Katherine's life been?" she asked softly.

Sam felt a buzz in her pocket and sighed, she turned off her phone and put it back in her pocket "I don't know who it is but I don't care at the moment" Sam chuckled softly, Sam looked up at Katherine and chuckled "I find it funny how me and you both are so different from Caroline and Elena" Sam said shrugging softly, Sam looked around the restaurant and sighed before looking at Sam "I haven't been out with friends before" Sam said softly.

Katherine smiled. "Well there is a first for everything and I like hanging out with you. As for life?" Katherine paused and laughed. "I hate being human, but its not so bad. My only problem is when people ask how old I am I have to be like I'm eighteen instead of shrugging and saying I'm 520 and still younger than your mother." Katherine laughed, dumping her bags next to Sam and sitting down.

Katherine frowned at the menu as she opened it and looked at all the human options for food. She was used to feeling the hunger of needing blood, but the experience of needing real food had long since left her memory. She knew what everything was but she wanted to be able to smell bacon and not want to gag or to be able to eat a strawberry and actually taste the flavours the juice from the fruit that was left in her mouth. Her eyes widened as she caught sight of the ice cream list, but paced herself ordering a portion of chips and two large scoops of chocolate ice cream. "Something's you do miss when your a vamp and enjoy, ya'know doing the whole Dracula thing.Like do you know how long it has been since I ate chocolate. To answer your question the last time I ate chocolate was when it was first invented. That stuff was pretty pricey, especially for the length of time it tended to last." She shook her head and licked her lips at the thought of her order.
"Make those chips an extra large." She said to the waitress in a dismissive gesture before smiling at Sam.

Sam laughed as she listened to Katherine's order "Someone's hungry...." Sam chuckled as she looked around the place, it seemed quiet and Sam liked places when it was quiet as she didn't fancy being bothered at the moment "I am only nineteen and well..... I have no parents" Sam said sadly.

Sam looked at Katherine and put a half smile on her face "520 years old.... wow...." she chuckled softly "You know I have met Klaus twice and the first time I trapped him in a room so he couldn't kill my friend and the second time I helped him" Sam chuckled softly before looking at her friend and smiling softly.

Katherine smiled. "Yeah well I fell in love with the guy, but when you find out he wants to use you as a sacrifice, it kinda kills the romance. And yep I am technically 521 years old next week, but well, for the safety of my former kind and my sanity we'll just say its my nineteenth birthday. And did you also know I also had a daughter. She was so beautiful, but my parents didn't approve. When I was growing up having children outside of marriage was worse than castrating your father. So for my families reputation and that of my future husband ky father took my daughter. I remember crying so much as he took her from my arms. I didnt even get to see her grow up." Katherine wipes away a tear.

Katherine clears her throat. "Anyway that's all in the past, you can only choose hoe you live the rest of your life. Here's a piece of advice. Don't use it for revenge or you'll end up a frigid, prudish and snobby bitch like me." Katherine laughed, shaking her head.
